                                      Training Tips

Let's briefly talk about energy in the household before considering bringing a new pet into your home. I cannot stress this enough, ALWAYS CONSULT WITH A DOG TRAINER OR BEHAVIORIST PRIOR TO PICKING OUT A DOG/PUPPY FOR YOUR FAMILY.

Why you ask? Here's why... A trainer or Behaviorist is the one person that sees all of the best matches between dog and family AND all of the worst. But what does energy have to do with this? As a trainer of 25 years I have seen some of the goofiest combinations of families with dogs, some work well and others just don't.  For instance, if you have a rambunctious family with multiple very young children (under..let's say 7 years) that have ZERO experience with dogs and you are seriously considering adding a dog to your family my first suggestion is to have your head examined...then after that get referred to the best dog trainer in the area for a suggestion on a good temperament match for that household energy.  You as the parent will absolutely need to teach your children to respect the dog as a living being and that it is not a tug toy.

Any dog or puppy, especially pups, will absorb the energy your kids put out.  If your kids are out of control you can bet the pup will be too.

If you are a worry wart then your dog will sense that energy and lose confidence in you unless you become the confident leader you are meant to be. It is always best to try to have a settled household before bringing a new pet in. It makes it easier on everyone. Request newsletter today @ K9CRAZYONE@GMAIL.COM
